My Neighborhood is awesome
Seriously.
The other day while out for my walk, I came across a marching band and drill team practicing by marching up and down the streets of the neighborhood. People came out of their houses, kids chased along, and we all danced to the beat. It was great.
They were practicing for a big event that's happening tomorrow where Desmond Tutu is speaking. Yep, Desmond Tutu is going to be hanging out and marching for Peace with us in North Minneapolis.
Seriously. We've got it going on.

oh! that is so cool! back at the beginning of the school year i saw (and heard!) the same thing. i just heard drums pounding so i went out on the porch and saw a marching band/drill team marching down the sidewalk. and there were neighbors out watching and smiling! although no dancing or following along that i could see. so we aren't quite as cool as you... but seriously, i loved it!
i love minnesota.
